Bladensburg Waterfront Park, Bladensburg, MD

As a Connecting Heritage Fellow and Resident at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center and Maryland Milestones Anacostia Trails Heritage Area, w|edge folk:land Survey Project held the 1st Survey outside of Michigan at the Bladensburg Waterfront Park. Bladensburg is an especially significant survey location as it was a battleground during the War of 1812, in which wedge style tents were utilized. It's also an interesting location environmentally in that the Anacostia River was rerouted here in more recent history. The Survey began in a very warm temperature of 71º within a half an hour, temperatures dropped about 11º and winds rapidly increased.
